We teach RE using The Diocese of Peterborough Syllabus (revised in 2024-2029) and Understanding Christianity. 50% of our teaching time is dedicated to teaching concepts within Christianity (although these sometimes link to other faiths) and pupils learn for at least 1 hour a week.
Our Learning Intention was to reflect on what does God dislikes. In the photos, the groups are creating their own dramas/roleplays to represent the 7 things God hates in Proverbs 6 : 6-19.

This week, the children spent the day exploring the meaning of our vision. We began our thinking by looking at pictures of shepherds from all over the world, we explored the role of a shepherd and the qualities a shepherd may possess. The children were able to identify how our school values could be qualities of a good shepherd. We then linked this to our school vision, where we looked at the quote in context and explored the meaning behind the Bible passage. The children were brilliant with this discussion and were able to understand the deeper messages behind our vision which enables them to lead a full life. The children then went to church with Reverend Andy and explored our vision even further through drama.
I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. John 10 v1-6 & 10
